COMMENTS RECEIVED FROM This Years 2016 ExhibitionPREVIOUS EXHIBITIONS 2015
It's been a very tiring but rewarding weekend with our layout. Lots of people complementing the layout and my weathering skills! : ( Bostcroft )
Thank You very much to the Soar Valley MRC for being such wonderful hosts. I hope the Exhibition was a success for you :)
Yesterdays visit was most enjoyable with many fine layouts on display making this one of my favourite exhibitions. The layouts of note were Aisthorpe, Apethorne, Villefranche-la-Chapelle and the absolutely superb The Worlds End anyone of which was worth the admission fee alone.
In closing I must mention the organisation of the event where the efforts made and venue were of a very high standard for which I thank you very much.
I quite enjoyed the show on Saturday when I eventually found my way in, stupid google maps sent me to one of the back streets off the A6!
Thanks to all the Soar Valley members for making this such an enjoyable show for an exhibitor, great organisation with a relaxed friendly atmosphere, well done all.
I've just returned from a most enjoyable weekend at the Loughborough Show, put on by the Soar Valley MRC. A splendid event, well-organised with a good range of layouts and trade.
My principal role was as a demonstrator, and I had a fine time. Mention has been made of mentoring. I'd never be so pompous as to consider myself as one of the Class 76s, but I showed a guy how to solder white metal and it was as if a veil had lifted. He'd struggled for ages because he just didn't know how, nor what flux to use, which solder to use and which iron to employ. He went away a happy man. Another chap didn't know the best way of soldering feeds to the rail sides. In less than ten minutes, I'd shown him my way and off he went, also very happy - a trader was happy, too, after selling the necessary irons and bits and pieces.

Thank you for inviting us to show our Bambury Shed layout at the SVMRC exhibition at Loughborough last weekend. We really enjoyed the experience and were very pleased to have gained the Mayfield Crafts Trophy for the layout voted for by your members. Please let me have the return address for your next show at the end of our tenure.
We hope that the show was a success for you especially as you had to do some serious reorganisation at short notice because of the construction work at the original venue. All in all the whole weekend was a delight for us and we appreciate all your efforts in accommodating our club.Once again, please convey our thanks to all at your club for your hospitality and we hope that the show was a success for you.
